Industry Bodies

There are three main industry bodies for real estate in Victoria:

The Real Estate Employers Federation (REEF)

REEF is an industrial union of employers registered under the Industrial Arbitration Act as
having the right to represent employers in the real estate industry to negotiate award terms
and conditions.

National Real Estate Association (NREA)

NREA is a federally and state-registered ‘union’ and employees (except clerical) in the Real
Estate Industry within Australia, are eligible to become members. The Association first
became registered as an Organisation of Employees in 1964 and since that time has continued
to assist members with a variety of employment issues.

The Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV)

The REIV has been a professional association, for the Victorian Real-estate Industry
since 1936. Being the voice of the industry, they provide analysis of the property market, using
the latest data and research and specialize in a diverse range of Residential Sales, Commercial
and Industrial Sales, Property Management, Auctions, Business Broking, Buyers Agency,
Owners Corporations Management & Valuations.
